I’m taking the plunge!

I’ve decided to make the big move over from blogging on WordPress.com (which has been fantastic) to WordPress.org, which is the self hosted version. I’ll still be at WeHeartVintage.co but there may be a bit of confusion while the domain name changes over 😉

Why?

Going self-hosted will give me more flexibility with what I can do with WeHeartVintage, both from a design and advertising point of view, the only problem being that there are more costs involved.

You can now advertise on We Heart Vintage

So, if you would like to help support WeHeartVintage by advertising on the new site, please get in touch, I’d love to hear from you!  Any help with paying my new costs would be greatly appreciated!

Will I still see your posts?

I’m hoping that I’ll be able to move all you lovely subscribers across, with the help of the technical wizzards at WordPress.com, but please bear with me. If you’re not seeing the usual amount of posts this time tomorrow please check back just in case!

Ooops!

Also, if you spot any problems with the new site please let me know – it’s taken a while to get all the content moved over and I think I’ve fixed any mistakes, so let me know if I’ve missed anything! Thanks 🙂

    1. Hi
Advertising on self-hosting certainly isn’t easier, it’s actually a lot more work because I’m working with sponsers and managing all the ads myself. It does mean that I can control the quality of advertising myself though and offer relevant ads to my readers. Hopefully this should mean we’re all happier – I just hated the tacky flashing and often irrelevant ads which I was served up by ad companies! 🙂 Check it out and let me know what you think: http://weheartvintage.co
